But say you had a unit of normal soldiers that were trained to, working together, defeat a Steel Inquisitor.

The Lord Ruler and his Inquisitors (Mistborn) vs. The God Emperor and

btw my assumption of power scale is leresium is 1, Vin is .8, kelsier/normal is .7, and therefore each inquisitor spike is also .7 with some miniscule loss as the spike is never really out of a body, when making an inquisitor they drive it straight through the body of the victim into the inquisitor, so maybe it drops as far as .69, but.

The way I interpret allomantic manifestations (atium shadows, iron lines) is the fact that they're not actually directly wired to your visual cortex - they're just the best way your mind can interpret it. As such, and Inquisitor wouldn't have so much as sight as metal-sense - but to the degree and accuracy that we associate with vision.

I was writing some Mistborn fan fiction with a friend and we had Marsh using metallic ink. Also, we have to remember that an inquisitor can see even small traces of metal. I belive in the end of Final Empire, we see them able to tell where people are by the metal on and in their bodies, even the small amount of metal in normal non-spiked bodies.
